Two-Handed Fair Isle

lisa ellis fair isleGuest designer Lisa Ellis from Gig Harbor, Washington will be joining us on Saturday, September 26th to teach classes, including a session on Two-Handed Fair Isle.

If you love the look of fair isle but don’t care for the puckering strands, you might want to learn Lisa’s technique using two hands. Her method weaves the colors as you go so the back side of the work is as lovely as the front. Her class will teach the two-color cast-on, how to read colorwork charts, knitting with both hands and color dominance. If you want to take your colorwork to the next level, this class will get you there!

You will go home with a treasure trove of new skills and handy tricks that will enhance your knitting and upgrade your colorwork.

Registration for Two-Handed Fair Isle is open now at Tangled Purls. Must pre-register, space is limited!

September 2015 KAL_2

Choose from one of two simple cardigan patterns: Be Water or Stroll. Both designs are top-down, seamless, one piece sweaters with minimal shaping and design elements that are interesting but not fussy. These patterns are designed for advanced beginners — even if you’ve never knit a sweater before!

Stop in at Tangled Purls to sign up (no cost to register) and get more information about how to participate — including information about our Cast-On Party September 2nd and our Bind-Off/Show-Off Party on October 10th. Registrations will be accepted through September 15th and yarn must be purchased at Tangled Purls to participate.

And while you’re at it, stop over to the Olive Knits Ravelry group and register for the online KAL to be eligible for prizes from Olive Knits! Read all about the rules for online participation here.

Save the date!
