New at Tangled Purls!

We are reveling in the rustic beauty of Cumbria, the new line from The Fibre Company and Kelbourne Woolens. And now we carry both the worsted and fingering weights of this heirloom quality fiber. Imagine a two-color shawl in these fabulous colors!

Warm weather knitting will be here before we know it, and we are gearing up with fresh supplies of Bamboo Pop (which we love for warm weather accessories and even lightweight sweaters and tees!).

Newly restocked! We love the luxurious, silky hand of Simplinatural. This aran weight blend of baby alpaca, fine merino and silk is absolute luxury!

Road to china light colors

We also have some gorgeous new shades of Road to China Light. This decadent yarn is an instant favorite for shawls, cowls and wraps — and any project where softness and luxury is a must. Vivian knit this beautiful Boelle Cowl with Road to China Light (below).

February at Tangled Purls

Happy February!

We are excited to bring you a selection of favorite classes this month, including Knitting 101, Intro to Colorwork, Basic Top-Down Socks, Fairisle Fingerless Mitts and the Choose Your Own Project class. For more information about our classes and to sign up, please stop in and visit the shop.

We have the Gleener back in stock! This is our favorite tool for de-fuzzing handknits. We now carry both full size and travel size, and either way — this tool is a must-have for knitters and crocheters.

We can’t get enough of the softness and gorgeous color of Big Bad Wool. These darling 50g skeins are perfect for colorwork cowls (like the project in the Intro to Colorwork class we have this month), and any super soft worsted weight project. We especially love this fiber for baby projects!

While there is still a chill in the air, we can’t help but be thankful for the warmth and color of Kenzie. Cozy sweaters, boot cuffs and mittens are perfect in this tweedy blend of merino, nylon, angora, silk and alpaca. We have samples at the shop so you can see how it works up.

Remember, our Monday hours have ended for the season. We are back to our regular schedule Tuesday through Saturday.

Happy stitching!
